The company

Rasdex was originally started in the UK by Rob Soothill in 1990, and has since been supplying high quality, performance kayaking clothing to the UK, Europe, the US and Japan amongst other countries. We relocated from the UK in 2003 to manufacture entirely in New Zealand, and you'll find us supporting local multisport, adventure racing, canoe polo and slalom events with some fantastic spot prizes.

Our jackets and trousers are made from technical fabrics sourced in Europe and then coated in the UK with specialist breathable, waterproof coating. The only coatings we are prepared to use are those which have been well tested by our team of sponsored paddlers, and have been proven to give excellent long term performance in kayaking kit. Once we've shipped the fabric over from the UK, all clothing is made up by a specialist factory in New Zealand. Our wide range of spraydecks are all made from top quality neoprene and are hand-made individually in New Zealand with the benefit of many years of expertise.

Our design philosophy is to give you function and performance at a great price, and everything we make is designed by paddlers for paddlers. Our jackets are cut so that the waist won't ride up when you lift your arm, our shorts are cut so that they stay up at the back when you sit down, and we pay special attention to the finishing. You can therefore have total confidence that you will find the quality of your kit second to none.
